Do you wanna "Skank" Granny ?
withDub Pistols & Rodney P at le Batofar on December Saturday 1st, 2007

Grand Mother decided to put the small dishes into big ones for this new edition, where the clash of cultures will spice, as it should, the granny's gravy. Indeed, she invites this time the most Jamaican of Englishman: The Dub Pistols Sound System, inpersonnated by Barry Ashworth and his vocal guest Mr Rodney P.
After setting the Radio Nova's Nuits Zébrées on fire and seduced the Canal+ team who selected their third album "Speakers And Tweeters" as album of the week (October show), they return to French soil for a merry Musical mess, managed with skill and fury.

The Dub Pistols Music has neither borders nor age, countless mythical voices are invited to push the ditty: Horace Andy, Terry Hall (former singer of the Specials) and of course Rodney P: simply one of the best English rappers.
Classics Makeovers are well underway with the release of "skanked" version of "Peaches" from the Stranglers and "Rapture" performed in the 80's by Blondie
As a result, while maintaining a very rock spirit, the Dub Pistols are managing to incorporate "dub, hip hop, electro, funk, techno, punk, ska" elements in their compositions...
Make no mistake: this is a decidedly futuristic sound that Barry is offering, the man is a dance floors bouncer specialist but to top it all he is accompanied for the occasion by Rodney P: it smells like true anthology !
